# Grading Templates

This feature enables the automatic calculation of a student’s final grade.

## Access and Navigation <a href="#h.p_cpyve0nv-3pc" id="h.p_cpyve0nv-3pc"></a>

The **Grading Templates** module can be found under **Planning** > **Planning Setup**.

If you cannot view the link from the list, check the privilege assigned to your user account or role.

## Create a New Grading Template <a href="#h.p_cpyve0nv-3pc" id="h.p_cpyve0nv-3pc"></a>

To create a new grading template:

* Click the **+ New Grading Template** button in the upper-right corner of the page

* In the pop-up window, enter the **name** of the new grading template

* Click **Add Grading Template** to finalize the creation

## Edit a Grading Template <a href="#h.p_bz3dh7so_8ji" id="h.p_bz3dh7so_8ji"></a>

To edit a grading template, follow these steps:

* Hover over the grading template and click **View Grading Template**

* Update the necessary fields:
  * **Description** – A brief explanation of the grading template
  * **School Term** – Choose which school year and term the template is applicable
  * **Weight Distribution** – Define the weight for each grading period, ensuring the total equals **100%** for automatic final grade computation
  * **List of Possible Grades** – Set the numeric range of possible grades

* Click **Update Grading Template** to save your changes and apply the updates

## Delete a Grading Template <a href="#h.p_73av0omrbact" id="h.p_73av0omrbact"></a>

To delete a grading template:

* Hover over the grading template you want to delete, then click the **Trash Bin** icon

* A confirmation message will appear asking if you are sure about the deletion. Click **Delete** to proceed
