# Course Equivalencies

The **Course Equivalencies** module allows you to tag and group similar courses together.

## Access and Navigation

The **Course Equivalencies** module can be found under **Planning > Planning Setup**.

If you cannot view a link from the list, check the privilege assigned to your user account or role.

## Create a New Course Equivalency

* Click **+ New Course Equivalency** in the upper-right corner

* Select the courses to be tagged as equivalents. Both the **“Course Code”** and **“Course Equivalency Codes”** fields will display all available courses

* Click **Add** to save the course equivalency

## Edit a Course Equivalency

* Select the course equivalency you want to modify and click the **Pencil** icon

* In the “Update Course Equivalency” form, update the “Course Equivalency Codes” field *(Note: The “Code” field cannot be edited)*
* To remove a course from the equivalency list, click the course code and press **Backspace** on your keyboard
* Click **Save** to apply the changes

## Delete a Course Equivalency

* Select the course equivalency you want to delete and click the **Trash Bin** icon

* A confirmation message will appear. Click **Delete** to finalize the removal

* The course equivalency will be removed from the list

## Search for a Course Equivalency

Enter a keyword or exact course equivalency name in the **search bar** (upper-right corner). Press **Enter** to view matching results.
