This feature allows you to set the variables for Non-Academic grading. This manages the non-academic rubrics that are graded.

Non-Academic Grading System

Access and Navigation

The Non-Academic Grading Systems setup can be found under Grading Setup > Non-Academic > Grading Systems.

If you cannot view a link from the list, check the privilege assigned to your user account or role.

Contact your school’s system administrator to request view or edit access if you cannot access the rights management screen.

Create a Non-Academic Grading System

Navigate to the top right corner of the screen and click the + New button to create a new Non-Academic Grading System.

Fill out the necessary details:

  • Name - what to call the component

  • Description - more details about the template

  • Type - Choose between List or Range

Edit a Non-Academic Grading System

Identify and select the Non-Academic Grading Systems you wish to update by clicking the Pencil button.

Update the necessary fields.

Delete a Non-Academic Grading System

To delete an existing Non-Academic Grading Systems, click the Trash bin icon next to the status you want to remove.

A confirmation prompt will appear. If you are sure you want to delete the status, click Yes, Delete.

This action is irreversible; if you make a mistake, you can create a new grading system to replace it.

Non-Academic Grading Template

This feature allows you to set the variables for Non-Academic grading. This manages what non-academic rubrics are graded.

Access and Navigation

The Non-Academic Grading Template setup can be found under Grading Setup > Non-Academic > Grading Template.

If you cannot view a link from the list, check the privilege assigned to your user account or role.

Contact your school’s system administrator to request view or edit access if you cannot access the rights management screen.

Create a New Non-Academic Grading Template

Navigate to the top right corner of the screen and click the + New button to create a new Non-Academic Grading Template.

Fill out the necessary details:

  • Name - what to call the component

  • Description - more information about the template

  • Display total/average column in reports - This is an Additional option if your non-academic template utilizes numeric grades. (ie, Attendance)

  • Associate with academic grading template/s Toggle Button - option to link the non-academic statements to academic subjects, which will be displayed in the associated score sheets

  • Clubs Grading Template Checkbox - option to link the non-academic statements to club score sheets

Once done, click the Add Grading Template button.

Display total/average column in reports options:

  • Do not compute column to display the final grade - Will not display the additional ave/sum column

  • Show the sum grade of all terms - Computes the sum of grades.

  • Show the average grade of all terms - Computes the average of grades.

Click View to add rubrics or components.

Select the grade level(s) where the grading template will be applied from the drop-down menu under the Applies to field.

Click Add New Rubric to include various components. For each component, select the corresponding non-academic grading system. If a component requires a text box, select Freeform.

You can add multiple components as needed. Once done, click the Save button.

Edit a Non-Academic Grading Template

Identify and select the Non-Academic Grading Template you wish to update by clicking the Pencil button.

Update the necessary fields, then click on Save changes once done.

Delete a Non-Academic Grading Template

To delete an existing Non-Academic Grading Template, click the Trash bin icon next to the status you want to remove.

A confirmation prompt will appear. If you are sure you want to delete the status, click Yes, Delete.
