Academic Scoresheet

This feature allows you to manage academic scoresheets

Access and Navigation

Academic Scoresheet is available under the Ongoing Classes module

If you cannot view a link from the list, check the privilege assigned to your user account or role.

Filter the Academic Scoresheet

  • To filter displayed score sheets, you may use the dropdown option on top of the page

  • Available filters:

    • Grade level - Only show score sheets of selected grade level

    • Group by:

      • Subject - Show score sheets per subject

      • Section - Show score sheets per section

      • Faculty - Show score sheets per faculty

Search for a Scoresheet

  • To search for a specific score sheet, click on the Magnifying Glass icon on the top-right side of the page

  • Enter the keywords and press enter

Change Faculty Assignments

  • To change the teacher assigned to the class, click on Change Teacher on the subject

  • A new pop-up showing the available teachers will show

  • Choose the new teacher and click Save Changes once done

Open a Scoresheet

  • To open a scoresheet, expand the grade level and click on Academic Score sheet on the subject

  • The academic score sheet will appear

  • If behavioral marks are enabled for scoresheets, a drop-down will be available to switch between the Academic and Non-Academic scoresheets

Choosing a term

To choose a different term to grade, click on the term dropdown on the upper-left side of the page

Add an Assessment Tool

  • To add assessment tools, click the plus (+) button next to the component

  • A new column will appear once successful

  • Click on the top-most cell to change the max score of the assessment tool

  • Clicking outside the cell will automatically save the max score

Edit an Assessment Tool

  • To edit an assessment tool, hover your cursor over the item and click the Pencil icon

  • A new pop-up will show. Edit as needed

    • Description - Name of the assessment

    • Date taken - date when the activity was taken

  • Click Save Changes once done

Delete an Assessment Tool

To delete an assessment tool, hover your cursor over the item and click the Trash Bin icon

Encode Grades

  • To encode a student’s score, click on the cell next to the student’s name

  • Encode the grades

  • Clicking outside the cell will automatically save the score

You can navigate the scoresheet by using your arrow keys, enter key, and or tab key.

Mark students as Excused and add Remarks

  • Hover the mouse over the assessment cell of the student and click on the details icon (i)

  • Add remarks as needed. Checking the “Excused” checkbox will mark the student as excused

  • Clicking outside the Details pop-up will automatically save the remarks

Use Adjustment Grades

  • To encode additional grades for a student, click on the cell next to the student’s name

  • Encode the adjustment grades

  • Clicking outside the cell will automatically save the grade

Change a Student's Transmutation Table

By default, all students use the same transmutation table set per subject

  • Hover the mouse over the Transmuted grade of the student and click on the edit icon

  • A new pop-up will appear. Change the transmutation as needed

    • For numeric grades, only numeric-type transmutations can be selected

    • For letter grades, only letter-type transmutations can be selected

  • Click Replace once done

Use Average Settings

  • To change the computation of the raw final grades, you can toggle the Use Average setting

  • Difference in computation:

    • “Use Average” is turned off (default)

      • Scores are calculated by dividing the total student scores by the total maximum scores and then multiplying by the component weight.

      • [(Sum of student scores) divided by (Sum of max scores)] multiplied by the component weight

    • “Use Average” is turned on (default)

      • The average score is calculated by adding up each student's weighted score and dividing by the total number of assessments.

      • Sum of [(student score / max score) multiplied by the component weight] divided by (total number of assessments)

Send Grades to Students

  • To send the grades of students, click on Send Grades on the upper-right side of the page

  • A new pop-up will appear. Choose the filters as needed

    • Date range - Dates when when the activities were taken. The grades to be sent will only include those within the date range

    • Students - choose who will receive the grades. You can check “Include all students” to send the grades of all students

Download Scoresheet

To download the scoresheets, click on the Download button on the upper-right side of the page. An XLS file will be downloaded.

Discussion Panel

To view discussions on a score sheet, click the Message icon on the upper-right side of the page.

You can see the discussions and attachments, reply to messages, and attach files as needed.
