Room types define the classification of your school's classrooms, laboratories, and other facilities. This module must be set up before adding rooms.
The Room Types module can be found under Planning > Planning Setup
If you cannot view a link from the list, check the privilege assigned to your user account or role.
Contact your school’s system administrator to request view or edit access if you cannot access the rights management screen.
To create a new room type, click + New Room Type found in the upper right corner
Fill out the necessary details
Room Type Code - Must be unique
Description - Provides details about the room type
Color Tag - The assigned color will be used for identification in the Scheduler
Click the Add Room Type button once you are done filling out the details
To edit a room type:
Select the room type you want to modify and click the Pencil icon
In the Update Room Type Information form, update the necessary fields. Note: Room type codes must remain unique
Click the Update Room Type button to save your changes. You will be redirected to the Room Types page, where the updates will be immediately reflected
Room types that have already been assigned to a course cannot be deleted.
To delete a room type:
Select the room type you want to remove and click the Trash Bin icon
A confirmation alert will appear asking if you want to proceed with the deletion
Click Delete to confirm. The room type will be removed from the list
To search for a room type, enter a keyword or the exact text in the search bar at the upper-right corner and press Enter. The system will display all matching results.
Question: Why can't I see the "Room Types" menu in my account?
Answer: Ensure that your user account or role has the necessary privileges. To verify:
Navigate to Users > User Setup > User Groups.
Check if your account has the required permissions to access the "Room Types" menu.
