Faculties will use different types of grading values to assess students. For example, a Numeric grading type may include values such as 0.0, 1.0, 1.5, etc.
The Grading Systems module can be found under Planning > Planning Setup.
If you cannot view the link from the list, check the privilege assigned to your user account or role.
Contact your school’s system administrator to request view or edit access if you cannot access the rights management screen.
To create a new grading system:
Click + Add Grading System in the upper-right corner
Fill out the required details:
Label – The unique name of the grading system template or matrix
Grading System Type – Choose from:
Pass or Fail – Define a specific passing and failing value
Numeric Range – Set a range for passing and failing scores
Value – The scores faculty members will use to grade students
Pass or Fail Dropdown – Determines whether a given score is a passing or failing mark
Students Should Not Retake Subject – Prevents students from being forecasted for a subject if they receive the assigned score/value
Once all details are filled out, click Add Grading System to finalize the setup
To edit a grading system, follow these steps:
Select the grading system you want to edit and click the Pencil icon
In the “Update Grading System” form, modify the necessary fields (Note: The Grading System Type field cannot be edited)
Click Update Grading System to save your changes. You will be redirected to the Grading Systems page, where the updates will be reflected
The grading system currently in use by existing courses cannot be deleted.
To delete a grading system:
Select the grading system you want to remove and click the Trash Bin icon
A confirmation message will appear asking if you are sure about the deletion. Click Delete to proceed
The grading system will be removed from the list
Question: How to Refresh the Grading System?
Answer:
Navigate to Planning Setup > Grading System
Click Edit, then Save Changes to trigger the academic standing refresh in the background. (No actual changes are required.)
The process may take several minutes, depending on the school's data size
