In this part, you can document the department of your school and its heads. Departments are how subjects are grouped together. (ie General Education, Religious Education Department)
Click on the “Planning Setup” tab under Planning. On the Planning Setup menu, click on the “Department” tab. This will show the Departments page.
1. To create a new department, click the “New Department” button on the upper right part of the page. This will give you a “Add a new department” form.
2. Fill up the necessary details. Do not leave any fields blank and do not use a code and a dean that are already being used.
3. Once you are done filling the form, click “Add Department”. This will return you to the Departments page and you may now see your newly created department in the list provided.
1. To edit a department, choose a department to edit and click on its edit/pencil icon. This will show an “Update department details” form, but do not leave any fields blank and do not use a code and a dean that are already being used.
2. Once you are done filling the form, click “Update Department”. This will return you to the Departments page and you may now see your newly edited department in the list provided.
1. To delete a department, choose a department to delete and click on its delete/trash icon.
2. An alert message will show asking if you are sure you want to delete the item. Click “Delete” to finalize the deletion. Your chosen item has now disappeared from the list.
1. To search for a department, type in a keyword or the exact text on the search bar above.
2. Press enter on your keyboard to search. A list of searches that match your description should show below.
