Adding A New Section to a Schedule Plan
1) Go to the summary view, by clicking on the “Summary view” text under the schedule plan name.
2) On the upper right corner, you will see a “New Section” button. Click on it.
3) On the window that appears, choose and click the course you want to open from the dropdown, then click “Add Section”.
4) The section will now appear on the list below as a new section.
Dissolving a Section in Schedules View
1) In the schedules view, choose and click on a class card whether or not it is plotted.
2. On the right side window that appears, click the “Dissolve Section” button under actions.
3) A prompt will appear to make sure you want to dissolve the section. Click “Yes” when you are sure.
4) Once you confirm, your section will be unplotted and it will return to the list of classes on the right.
Changing the Faculty in Summary View
1) In summary view, choose a section from the list provided and hover on it.
2) You will see a small menu of actions that you can do to that section. Click on “Change faculty”.
3) A window will appear with a dropdown of teachers. Click the teacher of your choice, then click “Change Faculty”.
4) You will see now that the faculty in the details of the section have been changed to your chosen faculty.
Tagging of Free Sections to Colleges and Programs
Go to Schedules > Schedule Summary
2. Select College / Program
Tagging a free section to program/s or colleges will restrict a student’s access to the section. Students can only enlist/View Free sections that have been tagged under the same program that they are enrolled in
This workflow is applicable only to free sections since block sections are already assigned to their respective programs and colleges.
Merging Sections
1) In summary view, choose a section from the list provided and hover on it.
2)You will see a small menu of actions that you can do to that section. Click on “Merge to ..”.
3) A window will appear with a dropdown of sections. Click the section that you want as the main section for your chosen section, then click “Merge Section”. Merging will make the selected section have the same schedule and room as the main section.
4) Upon merging, you will see that, under the main course, there is now a list of sections that was merged to it.
Dissolving a Section in Summary View
1) In summary view, choose a section from the list provided and hover on it.
2) You will see a small menu of actions that you can do to that section. Click on “Dissolve section”.
3) A window will appear confirming if you want to dissolve the section. Click “Yes”.
4) Upon dissolving, your selected section will be removed from the list of sections.
Searching a Section in Summary View
1) To find a section from the list, type a keyword or the full text of a course code, a course name, or a faculty into the search bar on the upper right.
2) Press enter on your keyboard to search. A list of searches that match your description should show in the section list below.
Two-Set Calendar Mode
To enable this feature, you must set the 'Two-Set Calendar Mode' toggle from the Schedule Plan Management settings to ON.
Assigning Sections to Sets
1) From the Schedule Summary View, search or select the sections you want to assign to a set by clicking the Select all checkbox or individually ticking the checkboxes per section.
2) Click the Assign to Set button. A popup will appear where you will be able to select to which set the selected sections will be assigned to. Click the Update Set Assignment button once you are done.
You can assign sets to Set A, Set B or No Set Assigned. Unassigned sections will not be available for auto or manual scheduling.
