Room Types

Room types are how your classrooms, laboratories and facilities are classified.

This setting can be found under the "PLANNING" category, and within the "Planning Setup" menus.

Creating a New Room Type

1) To create a new room type, click “New Room Type” found on the upper right corner.

2) Fill out the necessary details. Do not leave the room type code and description blank.

The room type color set will be used when accessing the Scheduler View.

Room Type Codes should be unique.

3) Click the "Add Room Type" button when you are done filling out the details.

Editing a Room Type

Edits to the Room Types are applied in real-time to the Scheduler View.

1) To edit a room type, choose a room type to edit and click on its edit/pencil icon.

2) This will show an “Update room type information” form. Edit the fields that you may need to revise. Do not leave the room type code and description blank.

Room Type Codes should be unique.

3) Click the “Update Room Type” button once you are finished. This brings you back to the Room Types page where your item has already visibly changed.

Deleting a Room Type

Edits to the Room Types are applied in real-time to the Scheduler View.

1) To delete a room type, choose a room type to delete and click on its delete/trash icon.

2) An alert message will show asking if you are sure you want to delete the item. Click “Delete” to finalize the deletion. Your chosen item has now disappeared from the list.

Searching a Room Type

1) To search for a room type, type in a keyword or the exact text on the search bar on the upper right portion and press enter.

The query will check both the Room Type Code and Room Type Description.
