Purpose: To setup the variables for Academic grading
Prerequisite/dependencies: None
Output: Grading components and systems for Academic
Go to Planning > Grading Setup
This manages the components used by school to grade each subject.
Select Grading Components.
1) Click +New.
2) Fill out the necessary details:
Name - what to call the component
Initials - what initials to assign to the component
3) Once done, don't forget to click Add grading component.
By Initials - alphabetical A-Z or Z-A
By Name - alphabetical A-Z or Z-A
Select Grading Templates.
This requires setup for Academic Grading Components as the choices.
1) Click +New.
2) Fill out the necessary details:
Name - what to call the component
Description - more details about the template
3) Click on drop-down below Component and choose from the options. Input the Percentage/Weight of the component. Multiple components can be added as needed as long as the total percentage is 100.
4) Once done, don't forget to click Add template.
By Name - alphabetical A-Z or Z-A
By Description - alphabetical A-Z or Z-A
Select Transmutation Tables.
Multiple transmutation tables can be assigned on a subject. For instance, a subject can have both transmuted numerical grade and transmuted letter grade.
1) Click +New.
2) Fill out the necessary details:
Name - what to call the transmutation
Description - more details about the transmutation
3) Input multiple Range and the Transmuted Grades as required. Tick the box beside the Transmuted Grade (Pass column) to indicate if the grade is a Pass.
4) Once done, don't forget to click Add Transmutation Table.

Pre-defined grades will allow users to create a group or selection of grading values which the faculty will be able to use.
Using this module will prevent faculty members to encode manually. As a result, they will only be able to select from a dropdown of grading values.
The Pre-Defined Grades setup can be found under Grading Setup > Academic > Pre-Defined Grades
1) Click the +New button to get started.
2) Fill out the form that has popped out.
You can make us of additional Grading values/Input by clicking the + Add Component button to add additional rows.
3) Click the Add button once done with steps 1 and 2.
1) Identify and select the Pre-Defined Grades you wish to update by clicking the Edit button.
2) Update the necessary fields.
3) Click the Save Changes button.
1) Identify and select the Pre-Defined Grades you wish to delete by clicking the Delete button.
2) Confirm the intent to delete by clicking Yes, Delete on the popup/additional menu that appears.
1) Click on the Search icon/button on the upper right portion of the screen
2) Type or indicate keywords relating to the Pre-Defined Grades you are searching for. The list should automatically refresh itself as you finish typing.
1) Click the sorting button on the upper right portion of the screen
2) Select your preferred sorting setting for the list.
