With Finance Setup, you can create your school’s tuition plans and payment schemes for the term, as well as create and modify sections of student payments such as discounts, penalties, and other fees.
Click on the “Finance Setup” tab found under the Finance category. This will bring you the Finance Setup page.
This section determines the due dates for payment of a student's tuition.
Under the Finance Setup menu, click on “Payment Schemes”. This will show the Payment Schemes page.
1. On the upper right corner, click the “New Payment Scheme” button. A form will appear for creating a new payment scheme.
2. Fill up the fields of the form.
NOTE: It’s better to have descriptive names so you can distinguish from other schemes.
3. There are two payment types to choose from: full payment and installment.
For Full Payment, all you need to input is the full payment discount (if any).
For Installment, you should input the additional charge for installments and the due dates for payment. You can add more due dates by clicking “Add Due Date”. Remember you must enter a total of 100%.
4. After filling up the form, click “Add Payment Scheme” to create your scheme.
1) Choose a payment scheme to edit by hovering on its card and clicking the pencil/edit icon.
2) This will show you an update form for the scheme. Make your necessary changes, then click on “Save Changes” when you are done.
3) You will see that your payment scheme has now been updated.
1) Choose a payment scheme to delete by hovering on its card and clicking the trash/delete icon.
2) A message will appear asking you to confirm if you want to delete the item. Click “Delete”.
3) You will see that your payment scheme has now been removed from the list.
At this part, you can customize the breakdown of fees for the students’ tuition in a particular term.
Under the Finance Setup menu, click on “Tuition Plans”. This will show the Tuition Plans page.
1. On the upper right corner, hover on “New Plan”, then click on “From scratch ..” from the menu of options that will appear.
2. Fill out the details, then click “Add Payment Plan”.
3. You will now have a new payment plan in the list.
1. On the upper right corner, hover on “New Plan”, then click on “From existing plan ..” from the menu of options that will appear.
2. Fill out the details and choose a tuition plan whose fees you want to use for this new plan, then click “Add Payment Plan”.
3. You will now have a new payment plan in the list.
1. Choose a tuition plan that you want to edit. Hover on its card and click on its pencil/edit icon.
2. Edit the details you want to update, then click “Update Payment Plan”.
3. Your plan is now updated.
1. Choose a tuition plan that you want to delete. Hover on its card and click on its trash/delete icon.
2. You will see a message confirming if you want to delete this tuition plan. Click “Delete Tuition Plan” to confirm.
3. Your plan is now removed from the list.
1. On the search bar above, input a keyword or the full text of the tuition plan you want to search for, then press Enter on your keyboard.
2. The results should display on the list below.
1. You can add a new fee to your tuition plan by clicking on the “View Plan” of your chosen plan. This will give you the list of fees for your tuition plan.
2. Click on “New Fee” on the upper right corner of your page.
3. You will see a new fee form appear, where you should fill out all details necessary to create a new fee. Once you are done, click “Add Fee”.
4. You will see in the list of fees that your new fee has been created.
1. To edit a fee, go to the View Plan of your tuition plan and choose a fee from the list of fees. Click on the pencil/edit icon.
2. Update the necessary details of your fee, then click “Update Fee”.
3. Your fee is now updated.
1. To delete a fee, go to the View Plan of your tuition plan and choose a fee from the list of fees. Click on the trash/delete icon.
2. You will see a message asking if you are sure you want to delete the fee. Click “Delete Fee”.
3. Your fee is now removed from the list.
1. To search for a fee, go to the View Plan of your tuition plan.
2. On the search bar above, input a keyword or the full text of the fee you want to search for, then press Enter on your keyboard.
3. The results should display on the list below.
Create types of discounts that you can apply to students here.
Under the Finance Setup menu, click on “Discounts”. This will show the Discounts page.
1. On the upper right corner of the page, click on “New Discount” to open the new discount form.
2. Fill out the necessary details, then click Add Discount.
NOTE: It’s always best to have a descriptive label.
3. You will see that your discount is now added in the list of discounts.
1. Choose a discount from the list of discounts and click on its pencil/edit icon.
2. A form similar to the create discount form will appear. Update the details accordingly, then click “Update Discount”.
3. Your discount should now be updated.
1. Choose a discount from the list of discounts and click on its trash/delete icon.
2. You will see a message asking if you are sure you want to delete this item. Click “Delete”.
3. Your discount should now be removed from the list.
1. On the search bar above, input a keyword or the full text of the discount you want to search for, then press Enter on your keyboard.
2. The results should display on the list below.
